These card stock flowers make a beautiful decoration for a nursery. I used these in Rylee's nursery. If you have not seen Rylee's nursery yet, please refer to the blog post named "Nursery Design". Originally, I was going to purchase the flowers on Etsy, but they are very expensive, so I decided to make them. The great thing is they are very affordable to make, just a bit time consuming if you do not have a Cricut machine. To get access to the template please fill out the contact form on my site. Put in message to email template.
Materials:
65lb cardstock
Bone tool (used to curl flower petals)
Hot glue gun (can use regular glue)
Step 1: Upload the flower template into Cricut design space and allow the Crucit to cut the pieces for you. The amount of card stock you are going to need is based on the size of the flower you want. I used 2 pieces for the large petals, 1 piece for the small petals and 1 piece for the center. Altogether, you will have 6 large petals, 6 small petals, 3 fringes for the center, one small circle for the center, and one hexagon to place the large petals around.
Note: If you do not have a Cricut, this project is still doable. You can print the template, cut it out, trace it, and cut the card stock.

Step 2: Use the bone tool shown in the picture to curl all of your petals. You can purchase the bone tool by clicking the link below:

Step 3: Glue all of the slits closed on the petals.

Step 4: The hexagon has 6 sides and there are 6 large petals. Take the 6 large petals and glue one onto each side of the hexagon (on the backside).

Step 5: Glue one small petal in the middle of two large petals. Repeat this with all 6 petals. This time you will glue the petals on top of the hexagon, not on the backside.

Step 6: Glue the circle in the center of all of the small petals.

Step 7: There should be a total of 3 fringes. Roll fringe 1. Then roll fringe 2 on top of fringe 1. Repeat with the final fringe. (Make sure they are all glued together)

Final Step: place the rolled fringes in the center of the flower on the circle and flare the fringes for the final product.
